Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Help

May 26, 20262 min read

I wanted to share another case from the clinic that might resonate with you. But let’s be clear that every person is differs and therefore results vary between individuals.

A mum of two came to see me recently after a really difficult few years with her health.

It started with a bad bout of Covid. Since then, things have never quite settled. She was later given a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, although she’s not convinced it fully explains what’s going on.

What she does know is that her body feels constantly on edge.

She deals with ongoing pain, chronic fatigue, frequent headaches, and even sensitivity to touch. Activity can flare things up, and when she gets ill, it seems to hit her harder and last longer. At one point, it all became too much and she had to stop working.

She also wants to avoid relying on strong pain medications and the side effects that often come with them.

More recently, she caught Covid again—and it really knocked her back.

By the time she came to see me (about two weeks later), she was struggling with severe headaches, neck and back pain, and pain into her arm. Her body just wasn’t coping.

So we’ve started a 6-week programme together using:

✅ Winback TECAR therapy
✅ Osteopathy
✅ Gentle rehab exercises
✅ And simple, clear education

But with her, the key is pacing.

We’re going slowly—focusing first on calming things down, then gradually building her tolerance back up without triggering flare-ups.

No pushing through. No boom-and-bust cycle. Just steady, supported progress.

The aim is to help her feel more in control of her body again—less reactive, more resilient, and able to handle everyday life with more ease.

In the future we may look at supplements and food intolerances with the patient as we have with others.

Christian Bates offers an advanced naturopathic scan using the Avatar machine which you can learn about here: https://www.theperrymount.com/avatar.html

Commonly this may reveal that nutritional and supplement help is needed for inflammatory pathways, stress and hormones or a digestion reset. We also offer an extremely good value food intolerance scan using bioresonance from a hair sample. Information is also below in this email. Better than the food intolerance is to upgrade to the gut health scan with food intolerances.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and there are ways to approach it that don’t rely on just masking symptoms.

If you’d like to chat or see if this approach could help you, just reply to [email protected]. We also have a discounted chronic pain package using our Winback TECAR machine.
