Helping you heal from the inside out.

What is TECAR Therapy?

TECAR stands for Transfer of Energy Capacitive and Resistive. It’s a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses radiofrequency energy to activate your body’s natural healing processes — from deep within.

What is our WINBACK machine?

The Winback machine is a cutting-edge therapy device that combines several advanced healing technologies into one powerful system. At its core is TECAR therapy, which uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate deep tissue repair and reduce inflammation. It operates in CET (Capacitive Energy Transfer) mode to target soft, water-rich tissues like muscles, and RET (Resistive Energy Transfer) mode to reach deeper, denser tissues like ligaments and joints. The machine also includes Hi-TENS (High-frequency transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) for pain relief, and Hi-EMS (High-intensity electrical muscle stimulation) to activate and strengthen muscles. Together, these functions support faster recovery, better mobility, and lasting pain relief — making it ideal for everything from pelvic health to sports injuries.

Why Use TECAR for Pelvic Floor Healing?

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that support your bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. After childbirth, surgery, menopause, or injury, this area may become weakened or scarred, causing symptoms like:

  • Incontinence or urgency

  • Pelvic pain or discomfort

  • Sexual dysfunction

  • Poor core instability

  • Heaviness or prolapse sensation

TECAR therapy, Hi-TENS, and Hi-EMS help by:

✓ Stimulating blood flow and oxygenation to the pelvic region
✓ Promoting collagen production and tissue regeneration
✓ Reducing inflammation, scar tissue, and pain
✓ Supporting nerve recovery
✓ Improving muscle tone

How Does It Work?

Winback uses radiofrequency energy, TENS electrical stimulation, and muscle stimulation delivered through external pads to warm, strengthen, and activate tissues at different depths in different ways. You get three treatments in one machine, and then expert osteopathic treatment is also integrated as needed. For example, hands-on scar release.

Capacitive mode targets superficial soft tissues (like skin and muscles).

Resistive mode reaches deeper structures (like ligaments, fascia, and scar tissue).

The body responds with increased cell metabolism, improved lymphatic drainage, and faster healing at a cellular level — without any invasive procedure or downtime.

What Does It Feel Like?

Most people describe TECAR as a pleasant, warming sensation. Sessions are relaxing, pain-free, and typically last 20–40 minutes. The TENS and muscle stimulation cause contraction of the muscle, which we will set at an appropriate level for you. A course of treatments is recommended for longer-term results, with regular top-up treatments to maintain results. We will also help with home exercises and other advice as needed.

Conditions we Treat with the Winback Machine TECAR:

  • Postnatal pelvic floor weakness

  • Pelvic pain and tension

  • C-section or perineal scar recovery

  • Urinary incontinence

  • Perimenopausal pelvic support

  • Deep tissue healing where manual treatments cannot reach
